* A qualifying free meal for breakfast consists of 3 items, of which a student may choose which three out of the four items (grain, meat/meat alternative, fruit, milk) they would like to eat.

* A qualifying free meal for lunch consists of 3 components, of which a student may choose which three out of the five components (grain, meat/meat alternative, fruit/vegetable, milk) they would like to eat.

Do I have to submit an application to receive meals at no cost at school?

No Breakfast and lunch are provided at no cost to the schools listed under the OCSD Schools Qualified for the CEP (found in a yellow box on this page).

What if my student just wants milk, and not the whole meal?

Milk is an included *item/component of offered meals. If your child only wants milk, and not a meal, milk may be purchased for $0.60 each. Funds for milk only purchases must be available beforehand, or at the time of purchase. (no charging allowed)

Where can I find the menu?

Breakfast and lunch menus are published online at OCSD Nutrition Services webpage.

What if my student has a balance on their account, do I still owe that?

Yes. Balances for meals received in prior school years and through December 31, 2023 are still due to the Oregon City School District and should be paid as soon as possible. Payments can be made to your student’s school office or online at My MealTime.

How can I find out what my child’s current account balance is?

You can create a free account on My MealTime to view your student’s account balance, meal transaction history and school menus. You may also contact dawnett.williams@orecity.k12.or.us  


What happens to the money left over on my student’s account?

You may leave the funds for future milk or a la carte purchases in your student’s account,  transfer the funds to another student’s account or request a refund for any funds left in your student’s account. To transfer funds, email dawnett.williams@orecity.k12.or.us, put the word “Donation” in the subject line, and include the full name(s) of your student(s), the school that each student attends, and the amount that you would like to donate from the account.


How long will school meals be free?

The Community Eligibility Provision is currently in effect through June 30, 2027.


If I am a staff member, do I get free meals too?

The no-cost meals only pertain to students. Adult meal prices will remain $2.75 for breakfast and $5.50 for lunch.


Can a non-school age child receive a free meal?

No, only school-aged children enrolled in Oregon City School District classes may receive free meals. Adults and non-school age children can purchase meals at current meal prices.
